The Octopod Classic Chef Knife is the perfect balance of sharpness, edge retention and durability. 

In collaboration with a Japanese Bladesmith family of over 750 years, the Octopod Classic uses an AUS10 stainless steel that allows for a thin blade that is easy to care for, and thick enough for heavier duty tasks like breaking down chickens/rib roasts.  

The long, pointed blade is used for slicing, chopping, and precision work. This knife style is most similar to a German or French chef’s knife.

A high quality Chef Knife that retains a great edge and is durable for many years.

It slaps!

Many years ago my mother gifted me some German cutlery that replaced the "Good Cook" brand chef's knife I acquired at the grocery store. It elevated my game to a new level, and I thought I had reached knife nirvana.

Then I took a chance and purchased this knife on the strength of other Octopod offerings and let me tell you, it absolutely slaps. The blade is very thing, flexible, and razor sharp. It feels great in your hands to the point where it feels like and extension of them. It cuts exactly where you want it to and has significantly upped the enjoyment level of my prep time in the kitchen.

If you take your cooking seriously consider investing in this tool. You won't be disappointed.

Incredible knife....immediately thought "wow"

My first reaction when holding the knife was wow.
Then I had the same reaction but even stronger when I used the knife for the first time.

If you have any doubts...buy the knife. It's a work of art.

Best knife I've ever owned.

I've never been one to think that a more expensive knife can really make a difference. Man was I wrong. You feel it immediately when you hold it for the first time. It's a perfect extension of your hand. The way it slices through scallions and fish skin without any resistance blew my mind. I can't believe I waited this long to get something that makes the world of a difference in feeling even more comfortable in the kitchen
